DAVE'S 30KM RUNNING CHALLENGE FOR CANCER RESEARCH UK
In 2026, Dave is taking on a challenge that is deeply personal โ and he needs your support to make it count.
June 2026 marks Daveโs 30th birthday, a milestone that should have been filled with celebration. But sadly, his mum, Marcia Slater, wonโt be there to see it.
Marcia passed away from cancer in 2022 โ heartbreakingly, just 8 weeks after being diagnosed.
A loss like that doesnโt fade. It changes a person forever. And for Dave, itโs become the driving force behind a mission to turn pain into purpose โ and grief into something that can help others.
Thatโs why heโs committing to something big in 2026 โ because cancer doesnโt stop, and neither should the fight against it.
Daveโs Running Challenge: 30km Every Month in 2026
Throughout the entire year of 2026, Dave will complete at least 30 kilometres of activity every single month โ through a combination of running, walking, and cycling.
Why 30km?
Because it represents 30 years of life, and Dave is determined to make this milestone mean more than just another birthday โ he wants it to stand for hope, strength, and real change.
